Cross section of Spray foam roofing.

At J&M Roofing LLC, we provide SPF Conklin roofing for building owners and property managers in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.  We know the need for a roof that’s more durable, energy-efficient, and requires minimal maintenance. If you’re wondering what an SPF (spray polyurethane foam) roof is, it is a closed cell roofing and insulation material that both waterproofs and insulates. Spray foam roofing system has the highest R-value of any insulation material which can help make your roof leak free and at the same time add exceptional R-value that lowers your energy costs!

We use Spray Foam roofing from Conklin, a trusted provider of quality and superior commercial roofing products.

  • Wood

  • Composite Decking

Why Choose Our Spray Foam Roofing in Ohio, Pennsylvania, or West Virginia?

  1. A spray foam roofing system is a seamless material and makes sure that your roof stays leak-free. It’s the best way to waterproof your commercial roof.
  2. Water does not travel laterally in spray foam roofs as it does in BUR (Built-up roofs with multiple plies of roof felts laminated together with bitumen) or single-ply roofs. A leak in the top membrane of a BUR or single-ply roof will create the spreading of water, saturating the insulation and causing multiple interior leaks. With SPF, even if a hole is punched through the entire two-inch membrane, water movement will be restricted to the hole. In most cases repairs can be made with a tube of caulk.
  3. Because our reflective SPF Conklin roofing is lightweight, permeable and fully adhered, normally an old roof does not need to be removed in order to apply a new one. If underlying areas of saturated insulation are found, minimal tear-off may be required.

Life Expectancy of Spray Foam Roofs

Spray foam roofing systems last indefinitely. Generally, if SPF is pressure washed and sprayed with a top coat every 15 to 20 years, this system will last decades. The SPF Conklin Roofing system shows little sign of deterioration or change in physical properties even after 30 years.

Condensation Concerns of Spray Foam Roofs

Spray foam provides a continuous air barrier preventing moisture through air leakage, minimizing dew point problems and condensation within the building envelope avoiding thermal bridging, resisting heat movement in all directions and providing reliable performance under varying conditions.

SPF Conklin roofing systems can be applied directly over BUR, modified-bitumen, concrete, wood, asphalt shingles, clay tile, and metal.

Since it adds very little weight (about 8oz. per square foot at 1 inch thick), our spray polyurethane coating solution is used to recover old roofing systems without the need for tear-off. This reduces the amount of construction debris in landfills. Since no tear-offs are involved, the interior of your building doesn’t have to get exposed to the elements.

Renewable System

A huge advantage of SPF Conklin roofing systems is that they are renewable. Contrary to other roofing materials like BUR and single-ply roofs that should be replaced upon reaching the end of their service lives, our spray polyurethane foam roofing system can be repaired and recoated to achieve an indefinite life expectancy coupled with other benefits such as increased energy savings and the reduction of in–house maintenance costs.

The SPF Conklin roofing system maintains a tremendous long–term cost–efficiency advantage over all other roofing systems.

Reduce Cooling Expense by up to 30% and Recoup your Costs

The average roof absorbs a large portion of the sun’s ultraviolet rays as heat. Conklin’s white SPF roofing system reflects 85% of the sun’s heat, cooling your building and saving you as much as 30% in air conditioning costs.

A Great Return on Investment

Perhaps the most important reason to install Conklin’s spray polyurethane coating for your roof in Ohio, Pennsylvania, or West Virginia is that it provides a great return on investment. Many satisfied building owners discover that a Conklin roof pays for itself during the warranty period in that it lowers air conditioning costs. Federal tax rebates, tax credits and deduction may also offset your investment. Check with your local utility company, tax advisor, or visit www.energystar.gov for additional details.

    Happy Customers

We are writing to let you know how pleased we are with the work you did last summer sealing the roofs of our two warehouses in Empire, OH. We are very impressed with the Conklin Roofing System, and the professional way you and your crew applied the product. The work was executed on time, and completed as promised. The workplace was kept neat, and cleaned at the end of each workday. We would definately recommend you, your product and service to anyone looking to have their metal roof coated.

Charles L McFerren, Owner, Empire Mini Storage

I would highly recommend J&M Roofing for any roofing project. I met the company last spring at a Home & Garden Show. They were the only vendor with a commercial roof offering. Jonathan Miller promptly came out and gave me an estimate for the Conklin System over our present 12,000 sqft steel-roofed building. They gave me a fair price, then started and finished the project in a timely manner. Upon inspection you could see they did not skimp on the materials and did a thorough cleanup. We have also had J&M on two other projects this year. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Pete Ballo, Center Park East and Associates, Canton, OH

I have had the privilege of working with Jonathan from J&M Roofing this past year. I believe it is an honor to write a letter of recommendation for him. My role as facility project leader has been impetus for the relationship, but the partnership exists because of a deep level of trust and respect.
This past year J&M Roofing replaced 10 roofs at our facility, which was approximately 89,000 sqft. We haven’t had any leaks from their work. The work they did was very professionally done.
I have no reservations in strongly recommending J&M Roofing for future professional partners. Please don’t hesitate to contact me for any further information regarding J&M Roofing.
